Driving/Parking

High Street Medical is conveniently located opposite the entrance to the Stamford Quarter multi-storey car park, at the bottom of High Street, in the heart of Altrincham. High Street is accessed directly from the A56, the main road that runs from junction 7 of the M56 all the way through Altrincham and Sale, and into Manchester.

If approaching Altrincham from the South-West (ie travelling along the A56 towards Manchester), High Street is a right hand turn, just before an Esso garage on your left (the turning is signposted for Stamford Quarter parking). If approaching Altrincham from the North-East (ie travelling along the A56 away from Manchester), High Street is on the left (immediately after the Esso garage on your right).

Proceed along High Street, and after 50 metres you’ll pass High Street Medical on your left. Continue down the hill, with a sharp left then right into the multi-storey car park. After taking a parking chip at the entrance barrier, drive straight ahead towards the OPEN part of the car park, such that the green tower is to your right. Follow the car park one way system all the way round, until you have almost done a complete loop. Park on the level immediately after the uphill ramp – it is this level that is the closest to the pedestrian exit you need to take, as described below.

Once parked, walk back to the green tower, and descend either by lift or stairs. On the ground floor, exit the building to join the pedestrian shopping area. Turn right, and walk alongside the shops for approximately 40 metres, before turning right again up a wide passageway just after Barclays Bank. Walk up the slope, continuing past the multi-storey car park, and you will see High Street Medical on your right. Please keep your parking chip with you, as you will need to pay at one of the machines before exiting the car park.

Public transport

High Street Medical is approximately five minutes walk from the Altrincham train/tram/bus Interchange. Upon leaving the Interchange, turn left to approach the nearby traffic lights, and there turn right onto Cross Street. Continue until you reach George Street, the main pedestrianised shopping street, and turn right again. After a further 30 metres take the wide passageway on the left (just after Greggs bakery). Walk up the slope, continuing past the multi-storey car park, and you will see High Street Medical on your right.
