Driving/Parking

High Street Medical is conveniently located opposite the entrance to the Stamford Quarter multi-storey car park, at the bottom of High Street, in the heart of Altrincham. High Street is accessed directly from the A56, the main road that runs from junction 7 of the M56 all the way through Altrincham and Sale, and into Manchester.

If approaching Altrincham from the South-West (ie travelling along the A56 towards Manchester), High Street is a right hand turn, just before an Esso garage on your left (the turning is signposted for Stamford Quarter parking). If approaching Altrincham from the North-East (ie travelling along the A56 away from Manchester), High Street is on the left (immediately after the Esso garage on your right).

Proceed down High Street to the multi-storey car park. After taking a parking chip at the entrance barrier, turn immediately right to remain within the multi-storey part of the car park (rather than proceeding to the open air/shopping part of the car park). Once parked, locate the staircase in the same corner as the vehicle entrance – it is signposted as an emergency exit, but is routinely used for access. Descend the stairs, and exit the car park, and High Street Medical is directly opposite. Please keep your parking chip with you, as there is a pay station just next to the foot of the stairwell you have just used.

Public transport

High Street Medical is approximately five minutes walk from the Altrincham train/tram/bus Interchange. Upon leaving the Interchange, turn left to approach the nearby traffic lights, and there turn right onto Cross Street. Continue until you reach George Street, the main pedestrianised shopping street, and turn right again. After a further 30m take the wide passageway on the left (just after Greggs bakery), and proceed up to High Street.
